Job Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: Dover, New Hampshire
Duration: Contract
                                                 Visa Copy Mandatory during submission
Job Description: Experience solving big data storage and high -performance, highly-scalable Data Management Platform and Analytics platform using Hadoop ecosystem.
Strong experience in traditional realms of BI/EDW to the new framework of Cloud Computing, NoSQL and virtualization
Preferable to have Horton works experience.
Hadoop admins need general operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
Good Knowledge of Linux
Security
Configuration
Tuning
Troubleshooting
Monitoring
Familiarity with open source configuration management (Chef, for example)
Scripting like PERL/ BASH is important
Able to deploy Hadoop Cluster, add / remove nodes, figure out why a job is stuck or failing
Configure and tune cluster, monitoring critical parts of the cluster
Understand schedulers and configuration of it meet SLA and even backup process
Good understanding of Java
Excellent communication
• Years of experience: 4-6 years in Hadoop ecosystem( or HDFS)
• Degree or specialized training is required/preferred: Hadoop Administrator
• Top three skills required: 1. Cluster management, 2. Cluster Security, 3. Performance troubleshooting/Tuning
